About the Program
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation Turkey office offers internship placements for students and young professionals who share an interest in liberal democracy, political education, and international policy dialogue. Interns contribute to ongoing projects, assist with event coordination, and support research activities under the guidance of our team.
Focus areas include policy research, project management, communications, and event organization. Interns gain exposure to the foundation's network of partners across Turkey and beyond.
What to Expect
- Assist in planning and executing seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Conduct background research on topics such as rule of law, civil liberties, and refugee integration.
- Support the foundation's communications and social media presence.
- Collaborate with a small, dedicated team in a professional environment.
Interns at the Friedrich Naumann Foundation's Turkey office become part of a vibrant community dedicated to advancing liberal values, human rights, and the rule of law. Working alongside experienced professionals, they contribute to projects that promote democratic discourse, civic participation, and individual freedoms. Whether assisting with policy research on economic competition and market dynamics, supporting events that bring together civil society activists and academics, or helping craft communications that highlight the importance of religious liberty and secular governance, each intern gains practical insight into how foundations foster positive social change. The experience offers a meaningful bridge between academic learning and real-world engagement with Turkey's evolving political and civic landscape.
